In this project, I designed and developed custom LED lighting fixtures to create a fully immersive experience for a dance environment. The system was designed to support live DJ performances, making the space come alive with vibrant, synchronized lighting that enhances the energy of the music.

The fixtures are built using WS2812B addressable LED strips controlled by Pimoroni Plasma Stick devices, powered by Raspberry Pi Pico 2040 microcontrollers. The custom firmware I developed allows the lights to be seamlessly controlled through the Artnet protocol, enabling precise synchronization with the performance.

For live shows, the lighting patterns are driven by QLC+, giving performers full control over the visuals from the DJ booth using a MIDI control surface. This integration of hardware and software provides a fluid and responsive lighting experience that is fully customizable to the performer’s vision.
